Book the Greyhound Bus to the Apple Tree Creek stop arriving before 4pm. We offer a free pickup from here. Email your bus ticket so we have confirmation of what bus you are on, and send us a message if the bus is running late.
Bring food for your first 2 days as we are out of town with no shops within walking distance.
Book the Tilt Train to the Howard Station.
When booking use the "advanced search" and book a "Concession - backpacker" ticket for cheaper price. There is no taxi or Uber around Childers so you will have to check we can pick you up before booking. Cost is $50, about 30 minutes. Pickup must be pre-booked and is not available after 4pm.

Coming from the South
Drive through Childers, 3km past the town boundary turn left into Gentle Annie Rd (the first turning lane you come to). Take the 3rd left into Stocks Rd. Follow this for 2.5km to the Ecolodge carpark.
Coming from the North 45km south of Gin Gin turn right into North South Road (signposted to Biggenden). Take the second left at the top of the hill = turn left into Stocks Rd. We're the first on the right.
Coming from Bundaberg Turn right at the intersection of the Bruce Highway (signposted to Gin Gin). 3km along turn left into North South Road (signposted to Biggenden). Take the second left at the top of the hill = turn left into Stocks Rd. We're the first on the right.
Childers Eco-lodge is 8km north of Childers. We encourage people to ride share to work and to town, and offer shuttles after work as required.
When you arrive please bring food with you for 1-2 days. If you are starting work within 1-2 days of arriving make sure you bring the correct work clothes, shoes and hat, water bottles and a cooler lunch bag.
When can I Check in? until 4.30pm - let us know what time you will arrive as the office is not always open.
Can I arrive on the Premier Bus to Childers? No pickup or late check in is available. Please book the Greyhound Bus arriving before 4.00pm.
What shops are there in Childers?
Childers is a small town of about 2000 people. It has most of the things you may need such as: Woolworths & IGA supermarkets; Pharmacies, Doctors, Hospital; Banks: CBA, ANZ, NAB; General shops for everything else; newsagent; post office, gift shops, hairdressers, beauty salon, swimming pool, cafes and restaurants.
